CHARLES DAVID EDINGER

Charles David Edinger heads Pallas Partners – New York. Prior to joining Pallas Mr. Edinger’s experience included investment banking, strategy consulting, business design, risk management, and business development with Wall Street and Main Street companies. Originally a university professor specializing in strategy, economics and risk management, Charles began his consulting career in the 1990’s advising entrepreneurs, business owners, corporate Boards of Directors, family offices, foundations and professional practices. During that time, he started and built several of his own companies within the technology, distance learning and health sciences sectors.
Mr. Edinger has extensive domestic and international experience and has served on the Boards of both technology and financial services firms. He has also advised and developed business plans for early and growth stage companies and for established firms looking to improve performance or identify merger and acquisition opportunities. His assignments have also included operational consulting in areas such as marketing, supply chain management, business development and risk management.
Charles enjoys a wide-reaching network of business and personal colleagues in the US and internationally. He has experience managing outsourced development and support infrastructures in the US, China, India and Canada. He is a highly effective presenter and spokesperson, with experience presenting to Boards of Directors, investors and professional groups in the US, China, India, Europe, North and South America.
In addition to having created and built several successful companies and consulted for others, Charles has developed successful financial advisory practices at Wells Fargo Advisors and Merrill Lynch/Bank of America. He has served on a variety of private for-profit and not-for-profit boards of directors and advisory boards and has taught graduate and professional level economics and risk management programs at St. John’s University, Seton Hall University and internationally. His specialties include corporate strategy, strategic investment, buy-side investment advising, due diligence, mergers and acquisitions and risk management.
Mr. Edinger received his undergraduate degree from Gordon College, his MBA from Seton Hall University, an MDiv from Princeton Theological Seminary and a Graduate Certificate from Harvard University. His honors have included being selected for WHO’S WHO IN INSURANCE and being inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma (the international honors society for business and economics) and Gamma Iota Sigma (the international honors society for Risk Management). He is a frequent contributor to a variety of professional and general publications and has spoken to domestic and international professional organizations including the Risk and Insurance Society (RIMS), the M200 Group and the Geneva Association.
Charles enjoys a wide range of personal interests including art, 20th century American sculpture, jazz and R&B music, film, and competitive sports including cycling, tennis & golf (actually more a walk in the park than serious golfing). Professional interests include economics, history, and political science, with memberships in a variety of professional groups in economics and charitable causes. Mr. Edinger is also a supporter of the arts, veterans’ aid, and community development in Connecticut and New York. He has four adult children and currently resides in Norwalk, CT.
