Matthew Saltzman has been selected to be the next president of ACG Kentucky.
When he takes over as president of ACG Kentucky in August, Matthew Saltzman wants to focus on broadening the membership of the Louisville organization of merger/acquisition professionals and investors.
“What happens is we have a lot of bankers, lawyers and deal guys, but we want to also partner with (Greater Louisville Inc.) and (the University of Louisville) to reach into more of the corporate businesses,” Saltzman said in an interview.
Saltzman, the CEO of business advisory firm Pallas Partners Inc., was named president-elect of the organization in October. Bill Probus, of Crowe Horwath, is the current president of the organization, which is an area chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth.
Leadership will have a strategic-planning session in February or March, Saltzman said. Another goal he has is to change the content of the organization’s breakfast meetings, which typically have a featured speaker from the local business scene. Saltzman wants to make the content more thematic, he said, as opposed to what it is now.“What we seem to have is the celebrity speaker of the month,” he said.
He also would like to see the organization expand membership to fast-growing companies, he said. “We want to become a real facilitator of business development here.”
